Negative Spaces in Logos
November 14, 2009
NBC logo

Carrefour Logo
Vanderbilt University logo

American Institute of Architects Center logo
These are just some examples for negative spaces in logo design. They are successful designes aren’ they? but there is a point that i do not understand, our professors say ‘you should not do painting while creating logos’, like these keys, birds or etc. But as all we know these logos are so famous and accepted by most people. I hope one day i will understand what should i do:)
If you want to see more logos with negative spaces you can look at http://www.logodesignlove.com/negative-space-logo-design

Keşfekeder
October 14, 2009

for me this is not a good example for the design of a search engine but what i like is they divided into groups; kültür sanat, müzik eğlence, sinema.. etc so you can click on one of them and search for what you want to know.
Çubuk: a Chinese Restaurant
October 14, 2009

Actually in that photo i do not like the walls, but i like the dining tables, services and lights
What i like in this restaurant’s design they used soft colors and thats out of people’s expect when they think about chinese restaurants. Usually chinese restaurants use red, black and gold in their design and the soft colors surpised us.

i like the lighting, i found them very exotic!

This is more fast-food type…

And this looks more private, but both of them looks simple and elegant.

“Bit Pazarı”
October 8, 2009
We have a new project for VA 301 clase and it is about creating a new brand which sells 2nd hand, vintage dress and accesorize. It’s name is Bit Pazarı. In Turkish, bit pazari is a place where 2nd hand and cheap things are sold.
These pictures can give information about the new store’s design i think. I love elegant look although we think vintage shop, and the first nine pictures are my favourites!
